Do I need to resubmit my sitemap to Google every time I update it?

It is only necessary to submit your sitemap to Google once through their Webmaster Tools interface. Once you have added and confirmed your sitemap with Google, Sitemap Creator’s “Ping” function will automatically tell Google that your sitemap has been updated.
