Web2Disk is designed to make a website viewable from a hard drive, CD-ROM or USB stick. To do this Web2Disk makes a “flat” copy of your website’s HTML. This flat copy changes to your website’s linking structure and only contains your HTML content. Any server-side code, databases or other non-public content will not be copied by Web2Disk.
With some basic sites it may be possible to upload the offline version of the website to a new hosting provider, but Web2Disk was not designed with this scenario in mind. Any server-side code or database information will be lost.
