Question: Backlink Monitor says a page is not indexed, but when I do a manual search in Google (“site:website.com”), it’s indexed. What’s wrong?

Answer: It’s possible for a website to be indexed by Google but not all the pages on that site.

The Google “site:” query operator returns all the pages that are indexed for an entire website and is useful for checking if a website is indexed. Backlink Monitor is more precise, it checks if the actual page itself is indexed (not just the site).

Pages that are not indexed have no SEO value since the backlinks on that page have not yet been detected by Google.
