How do I backup my Rank Reporter projects and data?

All of your Rank Reporter project data is stored in the following location on your PC:

Windows 2000/Windows XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Application Data\Inspyder Rank Reporter\

Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8:
C:\Users\[Username]\appdata\roaming\Inspyder Rank Reporter\

(Remember to replace [Username] with your actual Windows username.)

For a complete backup/restore, copy the entire contents on this folder to your new PC or backup media (you must include the Projects and the Databases).

To move the files to a new PC perform the following steps:

1. Exit Rank Reporter on both PCs.
2. Copy the contents of the settings directory (given above) to the same location on the new PC. (Remember to change the ‘username’ portion of the path if your username is different on the second PC.)
3. Run Rank Reporter on the second PC, your projects should now appear (open the keyword history window to confirm that your databases were moved successfully).
