Question: How can I stop InSite from checking my website’s external links?
Answer: InSite does not crawl into external sites, but by default it’s setup to verify that your external links are not broken. (It simply contacts the remote server for each external link encountered, but doesn’t crawl into that site.)
If you totally want to ignore external sites (and not check if those links are broken) you can disable this feature by doing the following:
- Click the “Wrench” button to open Advanced Project Settings
- Select the “Link Checker” tab
- Turn OFF the “Check External Links” option
Click OK to save your changes and try crawling your site again.
