Question: My FTP server uses “Active” mode, but when I try to connect I receive the following error message:
An error has occurred: I/O error occurred. Please check your server setting and try again.
I’ve tested my FTP configuration settings in another FTP client and everything works. What’s wrong?
Answer: This error occurs if the Windows Firewall (or another 3rd party firewall application) blocks OrFind from opening any ports. FTP active mode requires OrFind to be able to open an inbound port. To resolve this issue configure your firewall software to allow OrFind full access to the network.
